A Young person's guide to applying for a Job

‘What Next?’ is a three hour workshop delivered by experienced Project Managers from the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce to year 12/13 students.

The workshop provides guidance as to the next step to searching and applying for a job, giving tips and ideas to aid students in their search.

The 'What Next?' Workshop covers the following

• Job search
• Telephone applications
• CV’s
• Covering Letters
• Interview do’s and don’ts
• Body language skills
• How to sell yourself through your C.V. and application letter
• How best to promote yourself at interview.

Which students are suitable? Year 12/13 students.

How many students per programme? A maximum of 25.

Length of programme? One morning session.

Where does the programme take place? In a suitable sized classroom.

Does the school need to provide staff? No.

Does the school need to provide special equipment? No, the Chamber of Commerce provides all the materials required for the programme.

Can ʻWhat Next?ʼ be adapted to meet my schoolsʼ needs? Yes, we are happy to discuss any requirements that you may have.
