Davina Tanner has taken up the role at the Norwich shopping centre and joins with a wealth of experience in the retail sector.
After four years in the Metropolitan Police as a cadet and later a constable, she started to build a career in retail with branch manager and field sales management appointments.
In l997 Davina moved to Aristoc, part of the Courtaulds business, before joining Tesco where she initially was clothing controller for the company in the Republic of Ireland and then held two posts in Tesco Central Europe working on clothing and sourcing of non food items.
More recently Davina spent four years with the Arcadia Group with an area manager’s appointment for the South and East Anglia, overseeing 35 stores across the region and helping to drive sales and profitability to ensure the region maintained its top three position in the UK.
Davina lives in Norwich and says she has therefore known Norwich for a long time as she explains: “My previous role with Arcadia brought me to Norwich for work and before that I was a shopper coming to the city. I have always loved coming to Norwich so this new post is a great opportunity for me to work here. I am looking forward to continuing the development of Chapelfield as a shopping centre and expanding its role as part of the community.”
