The Norfolk Chamber of Commerce Board is vital to the running of the business. The partnership working between the Chamber’s Board members and the Chamber executive is crucial to its business success.
The Board is made up of members from across the County to ensure that members’ interests are represented at local, county and regional levels. The Norfolk Chamber Board meets quarterly. In addition to these meetings there are three sub groups that also meet quarterly:
Chaired by the Norfolk Chamber President, with selected members of Norfolk Chamber Board to review and discuss the core business issues.
Included within this group is the Board President and Vice President, the Area Council Chairs/Presidents and Vice Chairs/President. It is also open to all other Norfolk Chamber Board Directors to attend if they choose. This group of the Board is responsible for setting the representative objectives of Norfolk Chamber and assisting in their delivery.
This more informal meeting is used by Directors of the Board to work on specific operational issues with the executive across the Chamber to assist in the delivery of the core business plan objectives: Membership, Events and International.
