Charity Day Success For ESE And Nelson's Journey

NORWICH based charity Nelson’s Journey is to receive a £1,000 boost to its funds, thanks to one firm’s online charity day.

Award winning Industrial Supplies company ESE Direct, which is based in Norwich and is an Archant Future50 company, pledged to donate at least 5% of their online sales on Friday 26th April to one charity chosen by its customers.

Nelson’s Journey received an overwhelming number of votes in a poll open to ESE Direct website visitors, and will now be able to put the donation of £1,000 toward supporting young people throughout Norfolk.

Europe’s leading independent Computer Room and Data Centre Specialist, MigSolv, has partnered with Next Connex to deliver an Open Access Network into its Norwich data centre.

Next Connex will deliver a diversely routed, low latency network into the Norwich Data Centre, directly connecting it to over 200 carriers available at Telehouse North including LINX. Next Connex is also connecting the site directly to its Slough node where it will provide Internet links to the USA and Europe, independently of London Docklands.

Family Team Expands at Cozens-Hardy

Cozens-Hardy LLP is pleased to announce that lawyer Lucy Steele has joined its family and children department.

Brought up and educated in Norfolk, Lucy studied English and Communication Studies at Liverpool University, going on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, York.

Lucy previously worked for a niche family law practice in Wilmslow, Cheshire before relocating back to Norfolk to join Cozens-Hardy. Lucy specialises in private law children matters, divorce and financial provision.

MoCo Power Breakfast Helps Leaders to Question Emotions and Perspective

At its Leadership Breakfast Forum on 15 May, training company MoCo Development took a fascinating look at ‘Empowerment Through People’. The event was attended by 25 people, made up of leaders from the private, public and third sectors, plus education. These included City College Norwich, NANSA, Larking Gowen and Broadland Council.

The first speaker was Chris Sargisson, from Stands Brands, who works closely with some major brand name organisations to improve the customer experience they deliver and help develop effective language to get the best results from sales and marketing.

Business and Charity combine to help with jobsearch skills

Norfolk businesses and a local charity have combined to support adults with disabilities gain valuable job search skills.

Five adults with learning disabilities accessed the Jobsearch Skills workshops through the Norfolk based BUILD Charity, who teamed up with senior managers, and owners of Norfolk businesses to pass on their experiences, and provide mock job interviews to candidates for a fictitious role.
