Legal 500 recognises Rogers and Norton as one of the leading firms in East Anglia

The 2017 Legal 500 rankings, the acknowledged independent performance guide for all the Law firms in the UK, have just been published. Rogers & Norton have continued to be recognised as one of the leading firms in East Anglia, with clients praising the commercial awareness demonstrated, together with an ability to add value.

We are delighted to have been highlighted in the twelve practice areas we put forward, illustrating the strength and depth we offer to our clients across a broad spectrum of specialities. We are also very pleased to have had three of our legal team, Bruce Faulkner, Peter Hastings & Maria Taylor, listed in the elite leading Lawyers list.

The Corporate and Commercial team headed by Richard Etheridge, is praised for the ‘common-sense approach’ who ‘bring a commercial and pragmatic approach that is always well received’.

The team in Commercial Property led by Bruce Faulkner is noted for providing ‘advice that is tailored to meet the complexity of individual cases’.

Bruce Faulkner is also noted as one of the leading Licensing experts in East Anglia. He is known for his ‘practical and measured approach to licensing work and his good connections within the local community’.

Clients of the Dispute Resolution department are ‘consistently impressed with the commercial awareness’ demonstrated by the team, they are ‘quick to respond and always add value’. Peter Hastings is highlighted in the elite lawyers list as ‘highly valued, especially on complex cases’.

Peter Hastings is also recommended for his work in contentious Construction matters, noted for his ‘professional, timely and knowledgeable’ service.

The team in Debt Recovery include specialist legal executive Maria Taylor, who has achieved elite status acting for national finance companies and is singled out as ‘thorough and easy to talk to’.

Last year, the Employment Law team led by Phil Kerridge, handled a wide variety of claims for unfair dismissal, almost exclusively on behalf of employers, with an increasing emphasis on age discrimination issues.

Kerry Rowell heads the Family Law team and is praised for being ‘personable, professional and efficient’, whilst Averil Ballam in Attleborough is a key part of the ‘strong, professional and knowledgeable team’.

Clients of the Wills, Trusts & Probate department are ‘completely satisfied’ with the work of the team and single out senior solicitor Louisa Shailes and legal executive Wenke Lie-Critchley, who jointly head the department. Solicitor Laura Rumsey is a STEP Affiliate, a Dementia Friend and a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Action on Elder Abuse Adult Safeguarding Network.

Tim Nobbs in the Clinical Negligence team is lauded for his ‘hard work and persistence’, as he works on a broad caseload of claims against hospitals, GPs and dentists in East Anglia – he is highly recommended for his work with mesothelioma claims.

Working in Personal Injury, the ‘extremely supportive’ Mark Hambling ‘explains everything in detail and cares about his clients and brings professionalism and sensitivity at a difficult time in people’s lives’.
