What makes Norwich unique for investors?
Property investment is a great way to get a better return on your investment than keeping your money in the bank. And despite recent interest rate raises, the rates are still at record lows. So put your cash in the bank and it’s going to be doing very little work for you. Invest in property and you could be looking at yields of 5,6 or even 7%. So, the next big question is: where to invest?
You need to find somewhere where conditions are right for investment. And here at Agile, we think that Norwich is always a good bet. But don’t just trust our opinion, the facts speak for themselves.
Good housing stock
In and around the city there is a good stock of well-built period property. This is the kind of structure that holds its value and always sells well. However, there are new development projects across the city that also show plenty of promise. New ventures such as Deal Park and Generation Park look set to provide the city with a new supply of good quality housing, much of which is ideal for investment.
Of course, the driving force behind a healthy property market (as with much of the economy) is jobs. Here in Norwich there are a number of major employers including the University of East Anglia and several notable business and development parks. With ample employment, people will always need places to live.
The aforementioned UEA is one of the leading institutions in the country, providing the city with a supply of well-educated graduates and drawing investment and talent from around the world. It also means the city has a vibrant social scene which keeps things interesting in the city centre.
With new transport developments such as the London in 90 rail link and Northern Distributor Road, transport links to the capital and beyond are boosting the city’s appeal.
Quality of life
The city of Norwich offers a lot in the way of history and culture, and beautiful natural environments are not far away. The famed Norfolk Broads offer plenty of scope for leisure and relaxation, all of which adds to the appeal of Norwich as an investment destination.
Perhaps the most enticing aspect of investment is the price. Norwich represents great value for money compared to London and many other large urban environments.
