Develop work with the Children’s Teams within Norfolk County Council and Schools to provide post 16 education to young people interested in pursuing employment or advancement to college or University.  Currently we deliver IT training at Levels 2 and 3 (equivalent to 5 GCSE’s or 3 A levels) as well as developing the young person’s Literacy, Numeracy, employability and soft skills.   We also work with local employers to ensure that the learning that takes place in the classroom is relevant to the type of roles that these young people might undertake on completion of their course.

Currently we are looking at developing a work based model using government funding, where we work with employers to develop a tailored programme that will aid in the recruitment and retention of staff, whom previously might not have been engaged with due to lack of experience or suitability.  The benefit to the employer is that we deliver a programme developed in conjunction with them that meets their needs and they then get to trial the individual before deciding whether or not to offer a full time contract of employment
