Norwich International Airport, part of Regional & City Airports, a division of Rigby Group PLC, offers scheduled flights to a wide range of UK and worldwide destinations either directly or via connections at Manchester or Amsterdam. Scheduled airlines KLM, Flybe, Loganair, Eastern and bmi regional all operate from the airport.
The Airport also has a growing number of holiday destinations with charter operators including Thomson, Thomas Cook, Balkan Holidays, Premier Holidays and Newmarket Holidays offering package holidays to destinations including the Balearics, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta and Turkey.
The Airport is a key hub for the southern North Sea offshore oil and gas industry. 4 major offshore helicopter operators are based at the airport and last year over 100,000 passengers travelled offshore to installations in the southern North Sea.
The Airport is home to a number of major Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and other aviation organisations including:
- KLMUK Engineering (KLMUKE) - a leading regional aircraft and narrow body MRO and subsidiary of the Air France KLM Group. Services include base maintenance, line maintenance, and component sales, technical training and decommissioning on a wide range of aircraft types. KLMUKE has been based at the Airport for 40 years and employs approximately 400 people.
- Air Livery Ltd – an established aircraft repainting company founded in 1992. Air Livery has grown to be a leading specialist in its field, operating across Europe and is now owned by parent company Air Works, a fast growing aviation business based in India.
- Klyne Aviation – an organisation comprising a number of aviation activities including Saxonair, the Airport’s preferred General Aviation handling agent. Klyne Aviation developed the state of the art Business Aviation Centre which opened at the Airport in May 2011. This facility has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the growing business and general aviation industry and is also ideally suited to support existing and new offshore ventures.
- The East Anglian Air Ambulance – the Airport is proud to support this established charity.
