Join us at the ionic Cambridge Union and listen to our speakers debate our motion of 'this house believes that a vibrant East Anglia needs full economic devolution'. A contentious topic, so the proceedings will be chaired by Lord Norman Lamont, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, who will host the debate and act as speaker of the house. Doubtless you will have your own opinion on the motion, but when it comes to the end of the debate and it is time to vote with your feet, which door will you choose to leave by?

Confirmed speakers so far:

  • James Palmer – Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
  • Lord Karan Bilimoria – Founder of Cobra Beer, member of the House Of Lords and CBI Vice President
  • Iain Wright – Director of Business and Industrial Strategy at the ICAEW
  • Doug Field, Chair of the New Anglia LEP

Other speakers will be confirmed nearer the time, but this event is likely to be extremely popular so ensure you secure your place.
