Developing a social enterprise – the barefoot way
On April 17th, Robert Ashton, the Barefoot Entrepreneur, led a small group of local social entrepreneurs to help them focus their motives and continue their journey in the right direction. Organised by Charity Backroom, a division of Voluntary Norfolk, the full day workshop covered four of the most important buzzwords in social enterprise – people, planet, passion and profit.
Participants left Pottergate with clear heads and armed with advice on how to develop their all-important business plan and then help others get excited about their enterprise.
One attendee commented, “I enjoyed the event the other day, and I enjoyed meeting the people there. The small group idea worked really well, as you got to know a lot about the people there, what they do and the problems they are encountering.”
