Last Post for Christmas!

The huge increase in ecommerce is set to put the postal system to the test this Christmas with record breaking numbers. Royal Mail are expected to handle over 130 million parcels in the lead up to Christmas, with approximately 60% of transactions predicted to be made on-line. Therefore it is important to ensure your products, gifts and orders get into the post in good time!
Royal Mail recently announced the recommended last posting dates for Christmas 2013. We’ve put these dates into a handy table for you, so you know how long you have to get down to the Post Office!

For UK services the dates you need to remember are the 18th, 20th and 23rd of December, these are the recommended last dates to post for 2nd class, 1st class and Special Delivery respectively.
If you are sending your gifts or products overseas then there are a raft of dates involved, beginning on the 4th December for deliveries to Asia, the Far East and New Zealand and ending with the 14th December for deliveries to Western Europe.
To send to our Forces overseas you will need to be very early for Operational BFPOs (British Forces Post Office) with a recommended last posting date of Friday 29th November. Static BFPOs have a recommended last posting date of Friday 13th December.
