Norwich Travel Agent is finalist in national industry award
A Norwich travel agent is in the running for one of the UK’s most prestigious travel industry awards.
Emma Davison, from Premier Travel’s branch in Bedford Street, is a finalist for Leisure Manager of the Year in the Agent Achievement Awards, which are regarded as the highest honour in the travel industry.
Emma, who this year celebrates her 25th anniversary with Premier Travel in Norwich, beat off competition from 50 travel agents across the UK to become one of seven finalists. An awards ceremony in London in July will announce the winner.
“Being shortlisted for such a prestigious industry award is a brilliant way to mark my 25 years working in travel and with Premier,” said Emma. “I love working in travel and helping people book and plan their dream holiday, which is why I’ve been doing this job for so many years.
“The Agent Achievement Awards are the benchmark for excellence in the UK travel trade, so to be recognised is an honour for myself and the team as a whole.”
Emma joined Premier Travel’s Norwich branch in Reepham Road as a 16-year-old trainee straight from school. Within 10 years she was promoted to manager, and then moved to the city’s Bedford Street branch in 2007. Over the last year she has become involved in numerous activities to promote the branch in the community.
The Agent Achievement Awards have been running for 24 years, organised by trade publication Travel Weekly.
