The theatre has 1300 seats, spacious front of house areas with two bars, two function rooms and a café/restaurant and is fully accessible. We host regular access performances ensuring everyone can enjoy the magic of live performance:
- British Sign Language Interpreted performances
- Audio Described performances,
- Captioned performances
- and Relaxed performances.
Norwich Theatre Royal is a registered charity, working with thousands of local young people each year across training courses in theatre skills; educational visits and workshops; and work with the wider community as well. Stage Two is our new education and training centre (opened 2016) which houses all this work, and the theatre’s Learning & Participation team.
Ticket prices for every performance start from as little as £10.00, and we aim to keep the top prices at around 60-70% of what you’d pay in the West End for the same show or similar.
We bring artists, companies and productions to Norwich and Norfolk that would otherwise not be seen in the East of England including The National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, Glyndebourne, Northern Ballet, Rambert, English Touring Opera and these are complemented with productions from the West End and Edinburgh Fringe.
By working together we are developing and delivering an exciting, challenging and innovative Learning & Participation programme that supports our ambitions for our region, local communities and individuals that is also diverse, engaging and risk taking.
We have a wide range of ways that you can connect with us to help achieve your business objectives whether through marketing, communications, social objectives or hospitality. Research shows that taking part in arts activities helps to alleviate anxiety, depression and stress both within and outside of education and the workplace. Cultural engagement reduces work related stress and leads to longer happier lives.
Our Corporate memberships include three exclusive packages to suit your business requirements. For an annual fee your business can enjoy an extensive range of benefits.
