St Edmunds Society
St Edmunds Society was founded over 50 years ago. It was originally registered as a Homeless Organisation supporting young people. In 2012, the organisation changed direction and is now a Vocational Training Centre, based on Oak Street, Norwich. Our core aim is to support young people, by providing an alternative learning provision.
We run industry recognised qualifications in Construction, Transport Maintenance, Catering & Hospitality, Hair & Beauty and Health & Social Care.
We support students with CIAG (Careers Information Advice & Guidance) and we are MATRIX accredited for this support.
We have a large welfare/pastoral team who offer wellbeing support, intervention, counselling and an Outreach Welfare service.
As part of our courses, we are always looking to build links in the community. Whether you are a local business looking to offer work experience, a charity who support young people, a professionals in the education sector, or a parent/carers of young people, we are always keen to hear from you.
Lorraine Bliss, MBE – CEO
"This is a very exciting time for St-Eds Training Centre and our students. Our philosophy is to deliver an employer led curriculum, truly enabling our students both to believe in themselves and to become the highly skilled workforce of tomorrow”.
“I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff and tutors at St Eds for the positive support and training they have given to the students, having the chance to study a trade has given my son a focus that he didn’t have at school and possibly a career path to follow. It’s had a really positive effect on his outlook and opened up opportunities for the future.”
"Thanks so much for the opportunity St Edmunds has given me and all the patience everyone has had with me. I’m very appreciative of all the help and happiness they have helped me achieve."
